Working with Gene was effortless and a wonderful experience. Not only are my husband and I first time home buyers, we are moving to the Houston area from Ft. Worth. We wanted to be there for the inspection, so Gene was sure to work with our schedule. He was friendly and such a genuine person from the get-go. He was incredibly thorough and was so detailed oriented. He was so great about explaining everything to us and recommending next steps as well. He documents everything and includes pictures with very detailed descriptions. I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Goodwin of Gene Inspections as he performed a complementary inspection service on our Kingwood home in November of 2016. I have worked for years in General contracting as a project superintend and was curious to see how well he would do knowing my own home as well as I do. Leading up to the inspection, Gene provided excellent communication and a stress-free process to schedule and pay for his services. On the day of the inspection Gene arrived prior to the inspection and greeted the homeowners. As first time home buyers, my wife and I asked lots of questions throughout the inspection. Gene never hesitated to respond honestly and many times pointed out additional details that were beyond the scope of the inspection. We felt very comfortable during the 3 and a half hours we spent with Gene. We can't thank him enough for his feedback. Gene was very detailed, personal, and professional, taking his time to ensure the inspection was thorough. He even took time to walk my wife, realtor, and me through his finding.
